Prepare an identification enquiry

The local enquiry saves a request for review. It does not notify the lab or register a received sample. For actual submission, contact the lab to confirm preparation and dispatch.

Current lab instructions ↗

Leaf specimens

Choose a symptomatic leaf. With a soft brush, transfer approximately 10 specimens into a vial of 75% isopropyl alcohol. Label in pencil with collection site, date and host plant; place the label inside and seal with parafilm.

Soil samples

Collect approximately 500 g in a clean container, without alcohol. Add a pencil-written label inside and seal. Ideally collect on shipping day; otherwise refrigerate on the lowest shelf for at most two days.

Before sending

Use an insulated box to help prevent freezing. Consult the current submission instructions and contact the lab if unsure about preparation.
